Born and raised in Glasgow, Chloe Connor is an actor who has been performing for almost 10 years. Throughout these years, Chloe has been able to showcase her acting abilities through her engaging performance in her varied range of roles. Chloe particularly enjoys creating devised performances. Chloe is also a strong advocate for making sure her performances are accessible for all, influenced by her time as a 'Just Go' ambassador for Citizens Theatre, which encouraged younger people to go the theatre. Chloe passion for performing begun when she began to study drama at secondary school. Chloe used performing as an outlet to gain confidence, however she realised that she really wanted to pursue acting as a profession, and learn more regarding the craft.Â
To develop her performance skills, Chloe was a part of PEEK Youth Theatre from 2014-2016. During this time, she helped create and starred in 3 devised shows, which explored the issues of celebrity culture and fame, stress among young people and gender issues and stereotypes where she developed her creative writing skills by writing her own pieces to perform in these shows. Chloe has completed her HND in Acting and Performance at Glasgow Kelvin College from 2016-2018. Chloe was a part of her college productions of Female Transport, King Lear and Shakers Restirred. She was able to learn and develop in a multitude of skills such as her movement, devising, voice, workshopping, improvisation, physical performance and stage presence. These skills helped showcase Chloe's abilities, and evolve as an actor.
Chloe decided to return to education and officially pursue acting as her profession. She is currently about to graduate with her BA (Hons) in Performance from the University of the West of Scotland. She has been part of 2 productions here: Not a Midsummer Nights Dream and Circumstances, a devised piece created by aspiring actor and playwright, Philip Moore. Chloe also found a love for digital performance while undertaking a module on her course, which has allowed her to develop her video editing skills.
With her time in education nearing to an end, Chloe is looking forward to be able to bring the skills she has learned over the years and show these off her performance career, be it on stage or screen, or anywhere really! Chloe hopes to be able to work with like minded creative individuals who share the same love and passion she does for performance. Outside of acting, Chloe is a keen learner of the Italian language having started learning at age 5, and she would love to explore this within her performance career. Chloe is an actor who will bring a uniqueness and impactfulness to every performance!
